OTES Lake board to meet

The Parsons Lake Advisory Board will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Sportsman campground at the lake.

Below are the events for next week at the Parsons Public Library.

MONDAY: 4 p.m., LEGO Club for ages 15 and under; 6 p.m., book discussion on “The Vanishing Half.”

TUESDAY: 10 a.m., sensory hour for ages birth to 3; 4 p.m., Anime Club for ages 10 to 18.

WEDNESDAY: 10 a.m., story hour for ages 2 to 6; 4 p.m., afternoon story hour for ages 2 to 6.

THURSDAY: 1 p.m., coloring group for adults and teens; 4 p.m., Dungeons and Dragons for teens; 6 p.m., family Halloween bead craft.

FRIDAY, OCT. 18: 4 p.m., Switch free play for teens. SATURDAY, OCT. 19: 11 a.m., Parsons Stay and Play for ages 5 and under.

Parsons Livestock Auction

On Wednesday, the Parsons Livestock Auction sold 1,000 cattle.

Choice cows 126-135.50, canners-cutters 120-126, shelly cows 119 and down, bred cows up to $2,500, pairs up to $2,875; choice bulls 160-175, lower grades 159 and down.

Steers: Up to 400 pounds, 260-330; 400-500, 260-318; 500600, 245-322; 600-700, 230-272; 700-800, 236-263; 800 and over, 190-240.

Heifers: Up to 400 pounds, 247-319; 400-500, 259-297; 500600, 230-279; 600-700, 215-255; 700-800, 215-237; 800 and over, 160-218.50.
