FRIDAY, Nov. 21: 4:00 p.m.: Let’s Cook! for teens. MONDAY, Nov. 24: 4 p.m., Children’s Craft for ages 5-10; 6 p.m., Book Discussion of “My Friends.”
TUESDAY, Nov. 25: 4 p.m.: Anime Club for teens; 4 p.m.: Children’s Paint N’ Sip for ages 5-10; 6:00 p.m.: Let’s Crisp! Apple Take and Bake Event. Space is limited. One per household. Sign-up required.
WEDNESDAY, Nov. 26: 4 p.m.: Let’s Play! for ages birth-5. THURSDAY, Nov. 27 - SATURDAY, Nov. 29 : Closed for Thanksgiving.
Altamont Senior citizens
The Altamont Senior Citizens November Fellowship’s Breakfast and Bingo will be held Friday, Nov. 21, at 9 a.m. There will be no Fellowship Meal in December, but another Breakfast and Bingo will be held on Dec. 19.
Parsons Ministerial Association
Parsons Ministerial Association will be hosting a Community Thanksgiving Service at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23. at Westside Christian Church at 5100 Main St. Parsons, KS. Rev. Tom Phelan will be sharing the message.
VFW Thanksgiving Dinner
VFW Post 704 is having a free Thanksgiving dinner, with all the fixings on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27. Dinner is open to members and anyone in the community. Meals can be eaten at the VFW, taken to-go, or delivered for free. For more information, call the VFW at 620-421-6610.
Toy Drive
Community National Bank and Trust is accepting toy donations for Labette County Toys for Tots. Donations can be brought to the bank during business hours; 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday- Friday. For more information, visit www.labettecounty.

Parsons Livestock Market
The Parsons Livestock Auction sold 1285 cattle Wednesday. Choice cows 162-176, canners-cutters 154-161, shelly cows 153 and down, bred cows up to $4,200 pairs up to $4,150, choice bulls 188-202, lower grades 187 and down.
Steers: Up to 400 pounds, 330-490; 400-500, 315-455; 500600, 335-407; 600-700, 280-367; 700-800, 285-348; 800 and over, 270-312.
Heifers: Up to 400 pounds, 285-460; 400-500, 320-401; 500600, 290-347; 600-700, 260-339; 700-800, 202-322; 800 and over, 215-288.
