FORT SCOTT — Linda Wells passed away peacefully at her home on Nov. 4, 2025 in Fort Scott. Linda was a beloved wife, sister, mom and Nana, who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Linda was born Jan. 19, 1949 and spent many of her childhood in Fort Scott, later moving to Overland Park, and working at Sprint telephone company. Later in life, she moved to Parsons with her husband and recently returned to Fort Scott.
Left to cherish Linda’s memory are: her husband, Gene Wells of Fort Scott; her sisters, Pat Fewell, Kathy McLean, Diana Endicott; brothers, John Wilson and Bryan Wilson; Daughters, Tabatha Lane and Angie Hall; Step-children, William Wells, Pamela Essig and Karen Vance; and nine grandchildren, two of whom she helped raise — Primula and Xavier Stonebraker were her world. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
She was cremated, and a memorial service will be planned later.
