This distribution is scheduled for Parsons or Dennis residents. Residents in other areas of Labette County may access commodities closest to their home: Edna, Chetopa, or Parsons. Recipients may pick up commodities at only one location.
To receive a TEFAP box: This is a drive through distribution. Stay in your vehicle. Station 1: show photo ID. If your ID does not have a Parsons or Dennis address, bring a current utility bill with the correct address along with your current ID. Station 2: have the trunk open so volunteers may place the food box inside. Make sure space is available for the food box, as volunteers will not be moving personal items to place the box inside. Recipients who walk up, ride bicycles or scooters will be served in order of arrival with vehicles.
If picking up for another household by proxy, you must have a completed proxy form signed by the recipient who items are picked up for. There is a limit of one proxy per person. If ride sharing, there is a limit of two per vehicle. A new proxy form is required for each distribution. Service providers that need to pick up from more than one client will need to have an employee photo badge and provide proxy forms for each client. For residents who do not qualify for TEFAP commodities but need to access our food pantry, contact Labette Assistance Center at 620421-0700 to schedule an appointment. Our mission is to assist our neighbors in Labette County in their time of need.
