Parsons Police Department announces new public survey

The Parsons Police Department is inviting members of the community to participate in a new Community Feedback Survey, open from November 1st through November 18th, 2025. The purpose of the survey is to gather valuable input from the Parsons residents about their perceptions of the department’s fairness, transparency, and effectiveness.

The survey was developed by Parsons Peace Officer Sean McCullough as part of his senior research project at Pittsburg State University. Officer McCullough’s work builds upon the citywide community survey conducted in 2023, allowing the department to measure progress, identify trends, and continue improving community-police relations.

“Listening to our citizenry is vital to how we grow as an agency,” said Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks. “This survey gives our citizens a direct voice in helping us strengthen accountability, transparency, and the quality of service we provide every day.”

“This project is not only an academic endeavor but also an opportunity to better connect with the community we serve,” said Officer Sean Mc-Cullough. “Honest feedback helps us understand what’s working and where we can continue to improve.”

Survey participation is open to all Parsons residents. An email address is required to take part, solely to ensure that each person can submit only one response. Email addresses will remain anonymous and will not be shared.

Residents are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete the survey online using the link below or by scanning the QR code available on department social media and public postings.

Take the Survey before Nov. 18: https://forms.gle/ shpreutuX2Zqmftd9 The Parsons Police Department remains committed to continuous improvement and community partnership.
