SEMINOLE, Okla. — Facing a ranked Division I foe on the road in Gabby Cortez’s coaching debut, the Labette Cardinals fell to No. 24 Seminole State, 78-68, on Saturday.
Labette got most of its production off the bench as the Cardinals got 52 points from its reserves.
Tierra Bargeman led Labette with 19 points on 5-of-9 shooting while Mattea Henry added 15 points and 10 rebounds for a double- double.
Labette shot 41.1% (24of-58) from the field but an ice-cold 7.7% (1-of-13) from behind the arc.
Pauline Black Harmon and Aija Carter each led Seminole State with 17 points apiece.
