
Louis E. “Gene” Gulick , 92, of Parsons, passed away peacefully on Oct. 20, 2025.
Born on Nov. 5, 1932, in Parsons to Otis and Lois Gulick, Gene spent his early years on the family farm during the Dust Bowl era. Developing the resilience and work ethic that defined his life.
A graduate of Parsons High School, Gene went on to earn a degree in graphic design from the University of Kansas. Following in his father’s footsteps, he proudly served his country in the United States Army.
His creative vision and entrepreneurial drive later led him to establish his own graphic design firm in Minneapolis, where his inventive mind and artistic talents flourished.
Gene was a devoted husband to Peggy and a loving father who, together with Peggy, raised their three children in Minnesota. Gene found joy in woodworking, creating beautifully crafted furniture that reflected his creativity and attention to detail.
After retirement, he returned to his roots in Parsons, where he rekindled his connection to his community. He also took up photography later in life and loved to capture the beauty of the outdoors.
He will remain in the hearts of his children Jeff (Maureen Aitken) Gulick, Brad Gulick, and Brenda (Rob) Walter; grandchildren Hannah Gulick, Harrison Gulick, Sidney(Josh) Weinberger and Brad Walter; sister Carol (Ron) Andrews and great nephew Connor.
He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Ann; parents Otis and Lois Gulick; sister Virginia Roberts.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
