LAWRENCE — A slew of area schools raced at the Rim Rock Farm High School Cross Country Classic last Saturday.
Chanute sent a pair of girls varsity runners. Laney Hillmon finished 144th in the varsity blue race with a time of 23:51 while Jarynn Hockett was 251st with a time of 25:27.
Chanute also had seven boys race. Jaron Powers placed 13th (17:12), Tucker Applegate 17th (17;17), Easton Colborn 24th (17:28), Tyler Rowden 41st (17:52), Mason Greve 250th (20:25), Leo Suarez 251st (20:28) and Joshua Schoenhofer 264th (20:37).
Erie had four boys run in the varsity blue race.
Isaac Myers finished 214th (20:00), Anthony Pasquarelli 312th (21:19), Killian Hume 346th (21:44) and Colt Corbett 479th (25:20).
Humboldt had four girls run in Lawrence.
Aspen Wimsett finished 235th (24:57), Tori Melendez 295th (26:24), Mallory Sinclair 374th (36:55) and Jo Ellison 375th (36:55).
Three Cubs boys also raced, with Jack Works placing 396th (22:25), Emmitt Carson 470th (24:33) and Carter Collins 500th (27:44).
