September LCC board meeting
The Labette Community College Board of Trustees will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, in the Cardinal Event Center.
SKO crossing work
The South Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad plans to close and repair its crossing near Liberty on U.S. 169 during the week of Sept. 15, conditions permitting.
NARVRE to meet
The National Association of Retired and Veteran Railroad Employees will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Chinese Chef, 900 N. 16th St., Parsons.
Fill the Ford at Carpino
Mike Carpino Ford, 2800 N. 16th, is having a Fill the Ford Food Drive from Sept. 15 to 25. The goal is to fill the bed of an F-150 pickup with 400 pounds of non-perishable food for the Labette Assistance Center.
