Meadow View Grade School, which serves students from pre-K through eighth grade, has been recognized for its elementary and middle school education in Kansas.
In the 2025 US News report “Best Elementary Schools and Best Middle Schools in Kansas,” Meadow View is ranked No. 80 among Kansas elementary schools and No. 31 among Kansas middle schools overall. These rankings reflect the school’s strong performance on state-required tests, as well as its success in preparing students for high school, according to a release from school Principal Chris Kastler. This report looked at 641 elementary schools and 290 middle schools.
Academically, Meadow View students are performing above expectations, according to a release from the school. Forty-five percent of students scored at or above proficiency in math, while 48% reached proficiency in reading. The school ranks particularly

high in reading, earning a tie for No. 92 among elementary schools and No. 52 among middle schools statewide. Math scores are noteworthy, with Meadow View ranked No. 165 at the elementary level and No. 58 at the middle school level.
With a total enrollment of 342 students, Meadow View serves a diverse population in a fringe rural setting. The student body is 51% female and 49% male, with 11% minority enrollment. Additionally, 65% of students are classified as economically disadvantaged, highlighting the school’s commitment to helping all learners succeed, the release said.
Parents and educators alike credit Meadow View’s achievements to a strong sense of community and commitment to excellence, according to Kastler’s release.
