Wiatrak receives scholarship
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Missouri State University student Kiser Wiatrak received the Bill House Hereford Foundation Scholarship through the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas (CFSEK).
Wiatrak is an agricultural business major from St. Paul. “I’ve received the Bill House Hereford Foundation Scholarship every year I’ve been in college and it’s an honor to represent this foundation,” he said. “Without the generosity of the foundation and their willingness to offer this scholarship, I wouldn’t be able to attend college and college rodeo. Their gift keeps me going and I’ll pay it forward someday. I’m very thankful for all they do for me.”
Swain William (Bill) House had a passion for agriculture and the cattle industry and wanted young people to have an opportunity to earn a degree and have a career in agriculture. His legacy continues through this scholarship fund, which was established to support students pursuing an agricultural-related degree.
