The funeral service for KCKPD Officer Hunter Simoncic, who died in the line of duty on Tuesday, Aug. 26, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Children’s Mercy Park, 1 Sporting Way, KCK.
Parking lots will open at 7:30 a.m. that day with stadium gates opening at 8.
IN PARSONS, a visitation for Hunter Simoncic will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at St. Patrick Catholic Church followed by a rosary at 2 p.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 p.m.
Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. A procession led by law enforcement will start in Kansas City, Kansas, and end in Parsons. The timing of the procession was not known by an early deadline Friday because of the upcoming holiday.
