FUEL SPILL CLEANUP
Parsons firefighters on Wednesday cleaned up an absorbent material used to soak up spilled gasoline from the curb on South 32nd Street at Pete’s. A driver struck the eastern-most gas pump on the north side of the property, causing a spill. Police and the fire department were called at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday. The gas flowed across the parking lot and onto 32nd. Firefighters built a dam to keep the bulk of the fuel spill from entering the storm sewer, according to Fire Chief Brad Boss.
