SEK Symphony season set

PITTSBURG — The Southeast Kansas Symphony at Pittsburg State University has announced its 2025-26 season, “A Season to Dance!”

Audiences can expect five diverse concert experiences aligned to that theme under the direction of Assistant Professor Ramiro Miranda, symphony conductor.

Tickets sales will begin on Monday, Aug. 25.

Symphony dates and times: — Oct. 19 at 3 p.m. “Danzas Latinas” This lively concert will celebrate Hispanic heritage through a selection of classical and pops music for all ages.

— Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. “Nutcracker! and more” Celebrate the beauty of winter and warmth of the season with a program full of enchanting melodies and heartwarming harmonies.

— Feb. 21, 2026, at 7 p.m. “Rising Stars” This special event highlights the remarkable talent of student soloists who win the annual SEK’s Concerto/Aria competition, offering a platform for emerging artists to shine.

— March 29, 2026, at 3 p.m.

“Tribute to Dance: a Night of Beauty and Movement” Come hear beautiful music written for dance — from waltzes, to ballet music, and more!

— May 3, 2026, at 3 p.m. Choral and Orchestral Collaboration The season will culminate with the collaboration of the SEKSO and the PSU Choirs. Witness the might of choral and orchestral music when these giants join forces for an unforgettable evening of music!

Tickets are discounted when purchased in advance.

In advance: $10 for the public; $6 for youth 12 and under and seniors 65 and older.

At the door: $12 for the public; $8 for youth 12 and under and seniors 65 and older.

Concert tickets are free to university students, employees and retired employees with a valid Pitt State ID.

Tickets may be purchased or picked up in advance at the PSU Ticket Office, 107 Weede Gymnasium, online at pittstate.edu/tickets, or by calling 620-235- 4796. They also will be available for purchase at the door starting one hour before each concert.
