SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — David Shane Baldwin, 63, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on his birthday Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, of complications from COPD and multiple strokes. He was born Aug. 5, 1962, to Allan Baldwin and Beverly (Henson) Baldwin Owens in Pittsburg.
He is survived by his sister, Stacey Gartner of Ida, Arkansas; two brothers, Stephen Baldwin of Springfield, Missouri, and Travis Baldwin of Nixa, Missouri; his stepmother, Carolyn Baldwin of Parsons; and two stepbrothers, Pat Furrow of Parsons and Chuck Furrow of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allan Baldwin and Beverly Owens.
David was all energy, and you always knew when he was in the room. He had a big heart and enjoyed helping people when he could. If you were a friend of his, he had your back. He loved his dog J.B. and felt he was truly a family member. David was an avid movie watcher and loved NASCAR, the Chiefs and working on cars, models, stereos and anything that would make life more fun.
He will be cremated and a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
