Don P. Merritt, 84, of Peck, Kansas, and a former Labette County resident, passed away at 7:37 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, in Oswego at the home of his brother, Kurt Merritt.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sherman City Cemetery near Oswego.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday.
The family suggests memorials to the Madison Avenue Methodist Church at Derby or to the Duck Unlimited Labette County Chapter. These may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, 112 N. 26th St., P.O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
