Correction

A story published in Friday’s Parsons Sun needs to be corrected. Two candidates with the most votes for each of the two seats on the Labette County USD 506 Board of Education in the Aug. 5 primary advance to the November general election ballot. The primary was required because these two seats had three or more qualified candidates running, and the top two vote-getters for each seat in the primary advanced to the general election. The candidates who will advance are Julie Sale and Jyssica Lahey, with 53 and 46 votes, respectively, who are vying for the District 2, Position 5, seat; and Kris Graves and Rich Falkenstien, with 87 and 67 votes, respectively, who are vying for Falkenstien’s District 3, Position 6, seat. These candidates were the top two vote-getters in their respective primary races.
