OSWEGO — The Deep South Fish House, formerly of Edna, opened today, Friday, at the former Pizza Hut building in Oswego, 606 Illinois. Its new name is the Deep South Eatery.
The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, with a shrimp and fish buffet operated between 4 and 8 p.m.
The business will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, the restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and offer a homestyle lunch buffet.
The hours will change as the business gets going, according to a social media post. The owners ask for patience from customers as they get rolling.
The expected days of operation will be Wednesday through Sunday. A drive-thru window is available for call in orders.
The restaurant closed in Edna in early July.
