OSWEGO — Labette County commissioners on Monday approved financing for the purchase of a new truck for the county’s emergency preparedness director.
Commissioners opened five financing bids from local banks for the purchase of a Chevrolet Tahoe for Charlie Morse. The amount to be financed is $51,462. Morse asked for three and four year options for financing with one payment per year.
The bids came from: Bank of Commerce, which offered 5.25% for both terms, with payments of $14,234.48 for four years of $18,513.43 for three.
Community National Bank offered 5.79% for four years and 5.72% for three with payments of $14,389.54 for four years and $18,645.25 for three.
Commercial Bank offered a 4% interest rate with payments of $13,917.67 for four years and $18,204.25 for three, which was the bid that commissioners accepted.
Great Southern Bank offered 4.87% with payments of $14,136.31 for four years and $18,417.16 for three.
The final bid came from Labette Bank, offering 4.4% and payments of $14,136.31 for four years and $18,307.32 for three.
