Grant awards for second quarter total $8,237
The Parsons Area Community Foundation (PACF) announced the recipients of its second quarter mini grant program. This quarter, seven applications have been selected to receive funding for innovative, community-driven projects that align with PACF’s mission.
The mini grant program supports grassroots efforts, creative initiatives and local solutions with awards of up to $2,500 per organization per year. Each quarter, the program empowers changemakers who are making a tangible difference in our communities.
Grant recipients: — Parsons Middle School: $500 – Diary of Anne Frank — Parsons Middle School: $867 – Fred the Flexible Skeleton — Curious Minds Discovery Zone: $570 – Dry Erase Table — Parsons Recreation Commission: $1,300 – Purchase of AEDs — Safe Haven Outreach Mission: $1,500 – House Maintenance and Van Repairs — Erie Area Community Christmas Baskets Fund: $2,000 – Support for Annual Christmas Basket Food Program — The American Advocacy Initiative: $1,500 – Support for Parsons Neighborhood Association Program “We continue to be inspired by the creativity and commitment of our mini grant applicants,” said Becky Dantic, PACF executive director. “This quarter’s recipients exemplify the kind of community- focused innovation that this program was designed to support.”
Since its inception in September 2024, the Pete and Mary Hughes Impact Fund for Mini Grants has funded 24 projects, distributing nearly $23,000 to support positive change across Parsons and its surrounding communities.
PACF is a local, multifaceted nonprofit that helps to direct the wishes of a charitable giver to an intended cause. PACF strives to be in tune with local community needs, to provide leadership on important community issues, and to be exemplary stewards of the resources entrusted to it.
