Ricky Dale Bowen

With faith in God and eternal life, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, Ricky Dale Bowen, who was called home to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 12, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Rick lived a life rooted in faith, love and service. He was known for his kind spirit, devotion to his family and was a constant example of quiet strength and grace. His life reflected his deep faith in Jesus, and he carried that faith into everything he did.

Born March 12, 1953, to Osa and Dale Bowen at Parsons, Rick grew up and attended school in Parsons. He graduated from Parsons High School in 1971 and later attended Parsons Junior College.

On March 2, 1974, he married Bethany Bowen at Oswego. The couple lived in Oswego until moving to Parsons in 1979. Rick worked at Ruskin Manufacturing from 1974 until his retirement in 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Bethany Bowen, of the home; his daughters, Heather Banzhaf and her husband, Kevin, of Cambridge, Nebraska, and Shannon Lee and her husband, Nialson of Parsons; grandchildren, Mason Morgan and wife, Karli, of Bellvue, Nebraska, Hannah Mudundulu and her husband, Passmore, of Pleasanton, California, Hailey Peterson and her husband, Trevor, of Imperial, Nebraska, Matthew Morgan of Springfield, Missouri, Jordan Lee and Makayla Lee of Parsons, Taten and Kristian Banzhaf of Cambridge, Nebraska, and Konner Banzhaf of Cambridge, Nebraska; and three great-grandchildren, Walter, Truett and Genesis.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Trevor Peterson officiating. Inurnment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Friday. Please bring any memories or stories and help us celebrate a true warrior now at rest.
