ERIE — Kollin Lee Showalter, 12, of Erie passed away in an accident on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
Kollin was born on May 7, 2013, to Marc Randall and Stephanie Michelle Peavy Showalter in Parsons. He recently completed his sixth-grade year in school at Galesburg Middle School.
He attended the First Christian Church of Erie.
Kollin was mischievous and onery. He loved to go fishing, and he loved the outdoors. He loved exploring and loved trying new science experiments. He enjoyed cooking with his mama. He was always busy. Kollin had a love for baseball and football.
Survivors include his mother, Stephanie Showalter of the home; his father, Marc Showalter of Parsons; three brothers, Karter, Kaine and Easton Showalter of Erie; his maternal grandmother, Charlotte Rommel and her husband, Carl, of Thayer; and his paternal grandmother, Shirley Showalter of Chanute.
He was proceeded in death by his paternal grandfather, Loren “Butch” Showalter.
Kollin will be missed by many, but his memory we will never lose.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at Erie High School.
