ALTAMONT — Altamont will be celebrating Flag Day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 14.
The Flag Day parade starts at 9 a.m. followed by street games, including turtle races and hula hoop and sack races, at 10.
Coupe races are planned for youth age 10 and younger. The kiddie barn with other activities will be open from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Inflatables will be onsite from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Touch a truck will be offered from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. A Farm Bureau sanctioned tractor pull takes place from 11 a.m. to noon.
Esports will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Other events: A barbecue dinner will be served from noon to 2 p.m.; Split Sanity will perform at that same time slot; an open mic event is planned for 2 to 4 p.m., which is the same time slot for more street games including yard Yahtzee, inflatable golf and other games.
