Billy J. Anderson, 61, of Parsons passed away at 10:40 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri.
Billy Joe “B.J.” Anderson was born on April 18, 1964, to Irene Anderson in Wichita.
A genuinely sweet and loving man, B.J. remembered every person who ever helped with his care. He always had a smile and hug for anyone he met. Some of his favorite things were wearing number shirts, drinking a 20 ounce Coke, having a little money in his pocket, taking out the trash and bowling. He also loved listening to oldies music and watching movies featuring Ann-Margaret.
Survivors include his mother, Irene Hamilton of Haysville; a brother, Richard Hamilton of Haysville; two sisters, Millie Coquette and Sheila Wheeler, both of Wichita; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and his best friend and roommate, James DeShazer.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Raymond Hamilton.
A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 6, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
