About 200 people attended a water play event Friday evening as part of the Parsons Public Library summer reading program. The event included water fun and food. The program kicked off a week ago. When readers turn in their first reading log, then they are signed up for the program. Currently, two families have received their yard signs for accomplished reading goals and have read a combined total of 220 books, and two teens who have read a combined 3,179 pages. Approximately 300 reading logs have been printed and distributed to all ages, according to Library Director Samantha Graven. Ray Nolting/Sun photo
