
Betty L. McElhaney, 82, of Parsons died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Parsons Good Samaritan Society.
She was born Jan. 14, 1943, at Parsons, a daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Craig) Mulberry. She grew up in Parsons and attended Lincoln Elementary and East Junior High Schools. She lived in various communities, including Nevada, Missouri, before returning to Parsons.
On July 10, 1960, she married Bob McElhaney at Independence. They later divorced.
She was Baptist. She enjoyed coloring, baking and dolls. Survivors include two brothers, John Mulberry, Leavenworth, and Tom Mulberry, Parsons; and a sister, Rosalee Myers, Parsons.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Mulberry, Charlie Mulberry and Bob Mulberry; and two sisters, Doris Mulberry and Linda Van Tieghen.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, at the Carson- Wall Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Traxson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
