WICHITA — Parsons’ Joe Keal will compete at the KSHSAA 4A Boys Golf State Tournament after punching his ticket at regionals in Wichita on Monday afternoon.
Keal placed 17th to earn his state bid, shooting an 86 over 18 holes.
Parsons, which finished eighth out of eight teams at the regional, brought three other golfers. Grayson Bolt finished 43rd (111) while Brok McDaniel and Brody Wright finished 46th (122).
Circle won the regional as a team, posting 304 strokes. Andale was runner-up with 321 strokes, followed by Wellington (338), Augusta (352), Winfield (359), Mulvane (384), Rose Hill (389) and Parsons (441).

Keal will compete in the Class 4A state tournament, which tees off on Tuesday at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton.
