
WARSAW, Mo. — Terry Lynn Price, 83, passed away on Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at home in Warsaw, Missouri, on Lake Truman.
Terry Lynn Price was born Oct. 1, 1941, in Parsons to Louise Maxine Rexwinkle-Price and LaVerne Price.
Terry served many years in the Air Force as a master sergeant working as load master and flying all over the world. Resigning after many years of service to assist Lois Ann as her health declined, he worked as a police officer in Kansas City, Kansas, then became a conductor on the Katy/Burlington Railroad. He was a third generation railroader with MKT, following his grandfather, engineer John Erwin Price, and his father, engineer LaVerne Price.
He married his childhood sweetheart, Lois Ann Hittle, of Edna. She passed away Oct. 21, 2002. They lived in Kansas City, Kansas, and at Warsaw, Missouri, on Truman Lake. Terry designed and built their house on the lake in Warsaw.
He met Shelaine Simpson, a former neighbor, again after both were widowed. They shared their lives on the lake by boating and fishing. Terry was devoted to fishing and was an accomplished cook.
He is survived by his older brother, John Edward Price and his wife, Suzanne, of Atlanta, Georgia; and his two younger sisters, Verlinda Jane Price Woellhof and her husband, Ron Woellhof, of Fredericksburg, Texas, and Janet Louise Price-Gardner and her husband, David Gardner, of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada; his nieces and nephew, Linda Cernick Price of San Diego, California, John Edwin Price of Decatur, Georgia, and Karen Price-Mendoza of Suwannee, Georgia, and their families.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Alanda Lee Price; and his parents.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. May 22 at Elm Grove Cemetery in Edna.
