FRONTENAC — Lori A. (Lansdowne) Bowman, 63, of Frontenac and formerly of Parsons, passed away at 2:36 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
She was born on Aug. 13, 1961, in Parsons to Sharon Lansdowne. Lori grew up in Parsons and graduated from Parsons High School. She moved to Frontenac in the early 2000s.
Lori enjoyed playing bingo and card games, sitting around a fire pit with friends, listening to the oldies, especially old rock and country music, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Shawn Lansdowne and his wife, Amber, of Joplin; a granddaughter, Leah Smith of Pittsburg; her mother, Sharon Grant of Spring Hill; a brother, Tony Grant and his wife, Amber, of Olathe; a sister, Christina Pierce of Spring Hill; nieces and nephews, Braden Grant and his wife, Maia, Kylie Grant, LaKeal Pierce, Akasha Pierce and Jacques Ford; and five great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Lansdowne; and her grandparents, James and Reola Lansdowne.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
