The Kids Gardening Club meets weekly from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays (depending on weather) at the Parsons Community Garden, 15th and Clark, to learn about cultivating, caring for and identifying plants, as well as other aspects of gardening. (From left) Nathan, James and Ezra Cox are in various stages of planting flowers in a pollinator patch that included a water source for bees. Lauren Coover, who facilitates the group, is helping Ezra over a concrete barrier. The youth also planted tomatoes and weeded raised planting beds on Tuesday. The first meeting of the season involved planting fruit trees on the land. Community youth are welcome to participate. Ray Nolting/Sun photos
