Labette Health Volunteer Services was recognized Friday, April 25, with a luncheon and awards in honor of National Volunteer Week. The volunteers donated over 10,500 hours in 2024, received the Gold Award of Excellence from Kansas Hospital Association and donated $28,000 toward scholarships and equipment. Kae Phillips received with the Volunteer of the Year award. Phillips began volunteering in 1998 and has served in many capacities, including coffee cart hostess and chairperson, scholarship chairperson, information desk hostess and volunteer sponsored fundraisers and events.
