Pavement marking work planned at U.S. 400 roundabout

FREDONIA — The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin replacing pavement markings at the roundabout on U.S. 400 and K-47 in Wilson County on Thursday, May 8.

Temporary signals and flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone. Drivers can expect delays of no longer than 15 minutes. The work should be completed in two days, weather permitting.

KDOT awarded the $47,503 construction contract to Cillessen and Sons Inc., of Kechi. KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For information about highway construction projects in Kansas, visit www.kandrive.gov or call 5-1-1.
