The Parsons Area Community Foundation has announced the recipients of its 2025 grant awards, honoring projects and initiatives that will make an impact in communities.
This year’s awards, totaling $285,861, will support 37 projects.
This year, PACF received applications totaling more than $465,000. The PACF board considered all applications for full or partial funding. This year’s grant recipients include Altamont Flag Day, Celebrating Parsons (Katy Days), Labette County Fair, Parsons Community Band & Orchestra, Parsons Historical Society & Museum, Parsons Pathways to Freedom, The Remnant, SEK Point of Pride, SEK Juneteenth Foundation, USD 503 Schools and VFW Auxiliary for Brown Bishop Post 704. Other recipients include Altamont/Mount Pleasant Fire Department, Care Cupboard Hygiene Pantry, Crosstimbers Food Pantry, Faith United Methodist Church, First Baptist Church of Altamont, Galesburg Volunteer Fire Department, Kansas Food Bank, Labette Center for Mental Health Services, Labette County Emergency Assistance Center, Labette Health Foundation, Osage Township Volunteer Fire Department, Oswego Police Department, Proud Animal Lovers Shelter (PALS), Special Olympics Kansas and Wesley United Methodist Church. Granting dollars come from past and present donors.
“PACF is extremely fortunate to have a large pool of funds available for unrestricted and field of interest granting each year,” PACF Executive Director Becky Dantic said. “We are so thankful for the generous donors who had the foresight to establish funds in a meaningful and thoughtful way to ensure resources are available for the betterment of our community for years to come.”
Since its initial granting season in 1998, more than $4.3 million has been awarded to support projects that improve the quality of life for members of the communities PACF serves.
PACF is a local, multifaceted nonprofit that helps to direct the wishes of a charitable giver to an intended cause. PACF strives to be in tune with local community needs, to provide leadership on important community issues, and to be exemplary stewards of the resources entrusted to it.
