ALTAMONT — Getting swept in a doubleheader, the Labette County Grizzlies lost to the Fort Scott Tigers, 21-1, 19-2, in SEK League softball play on Friday.
The two losses dropped Labette Countyu’s record to 3-9 overall.
In Game 1, Fort Scott scored 15 runs in the fourth frame to put the game away. The Grizzlies were limited to five hits. Sierra Hill ate the loss in the circle, allowing 15 hits and 10 earned runs.
Karly Waun also threw an inning, striking out a pair while also allowing two runs.
As for Game 2, Fort Scott hung up a dozen runs in the third inning. The Tigers limited Labette County to two hits, one apiece from Carlee Walker and Braylea Nutter.
Hill again ate the loss, throwing 3.2 innings while allowing 10 earned runs and striking out four.
