WICHITA — Thelma Louise Marnell, 86, of Wichita died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born Feb. 19, 1924, in Greenbush to John and Esther (Brophy) Marnell. She grew up and attended school in Greenbush and St. Paul and was a graduate of St. Paul High School.
She was a sister at the Adorers of the Blood of Christ in Wichita. While in Parsons, she taught school at St. Patrick Catholic School. She spent her retirement in Wichita and, for the past two years, had resided at the Catholic Care Center there.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Parsons and the Newman Center in Wichita.
Survivors include an adopted daughter, Crystal Konye of Wichita; a brother, Paul Marnell of Wheeling, Ill.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bernard and Jack Marnell; and two sisters, Eileen George and Regina Marnell.
A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in St. Paul. The rosary will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
