CHETOPA — Marinda L. Bullock, 95, of Chetopa died at 4:55 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at Chetopa Manor.

She was born May 31, 1915, in Oswego to George and Ellen (Marion) Jackson. She grew up and attended schools in Oswego, where she graduated from high school.

She was a member of the Mason Chapel Church in Oswego, American Legion Unit No. 61 Auxiliary and the Eight and Forty Crawford County Salon No. 524 in Pittsburg. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and playing the piano.

Survivors include four daughters, Georgella Caldwell of Chetopa, Janet Downing and her husband, Solomon, of Vinita, Okla., Cheryl Bullock of Omaha, Neb., and Marva Evans of Anchorage, Alaska; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Virgil Joe Parks of Omaha, Neb.; and two sisters, Dorothy Nellum and Katherine Collins, both of Omaha, Neb.

She was preceded in death by four brothers; four sisters; three sons; one granddaughter; and one grandson.

The family will have a private memorial services at a later date. The Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa is in charge of arrangements.
