McCUNE — Mark L. Aikins, 48, of McCune died at 11:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin.

He was born on July 24, 1962, in Chanute to Marvin L. and Rita (Overby) Aikins. He attended high school in Alief, Texas.

He worked for Tri-State Roofing in Pittsburg.

He married Angela “Angie” Clemens on June 6, 1986, in Miami, Okla. They later divorced.

Survivors include his mother, Rita Aikins of Parsons; his father, Marvin Aikins of Chanute; a son, Logan Connor Aikins of the home in McCune; a daughter, Heather Anne Aikins of Parsons; a grandson; three sisters, Lisa Aikins of Paducah, Ky., Kimberly “Bunny” Ginn of Arlington, Ky., and Stacey Miller of Chanute; and his companion, Ashley Walsh of the home, McCune.

The service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
