BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — Mason Thomas Knox, 1, son of Matt and Katie Knox of Blue Springs, Mo., died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010.

He was born July 20, 2009, in Independence, Mo.

Survivors include his parents; siblings, Taylor and Tanner Knox of the home; maternal grandparents, Tom and Brenda Countryman of Independence, Mo.; paternal grandparents, Mark and Teresa Parker of Parsons, Doug and Cathy Knox of Selah, Wash.; great-grandparents, Jim and Arlene Knox of Boulder, Colo., Jean Quilty of Wichita, Charles H. Countryman of Independence, Mo., and Bud Parker of Red Oak, Iowa; aunts, Misty Countryman of Independence, Mo., Katy Parker of Englewood, Colo.; uncles, Caleb Parker of Kansas City, Mo., Samuel and Joseph Knox of Selah, Wash.; and a great-great-aunt, Ilene Bussman of Mound Valley.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, Mo., where the family will receive friends an hour before service time.
