Robert W. (Hallett) Holbert, 50, of Parsons died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, Sept. 8, 2010.
He was born May 19, 1960, at Portsmouth, Va., to Vernon and Martha (Johnston) Holbert. He grew up in Parsons and was raised by his mother and stepfather, Duane Hallett. He lived in Jasper, Ga., two years, where he completed his high school education.
For many years he worked as an auto body repairman in Parsons.
Survivors include three sons, Jason Holbert of Jasper, Ga., Jake Holbert and Cody Holbert, both of Parsons; a daughter, Michelle Holbert of Parsons; four grandchildren; his mother and stepfather, Martha and Duane Hallett of St. Paul; and his father and stepmother, Vernon and Sylvia Holbert of Jasper, Ga.; two brothers, Mark Holbert and Eric Holbert, both of Jasper, Ga.; and five sisters, Jean Thompson of Carl Junction, Mo., Sue Figura, Teresa Schulze, both of St. Paul, Vicki Galloway of McCune and Donna Hancock of Jasper, Ga.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at West Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home.
