She was born Feb. 22, 1947, in Oswego to Charles D. “Charlie” and Iona “Elaine” (Christy) Nading. She grew up and attended schools in Altamont and graduated from Labette County Community High School.
While growing up in Altamont, she worked in the local family business, the Dairy Bee. She also worked in garment factories and as a waitress for 38 years in various local restaurants, where she enjoyed meeting customers.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Parsons. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and collecting elephant figurines.
She married William “Bill” Hall in Altamont. They later divorced.
Survivors include a son, Don Nading and his wife, Dianna, of Altamont; three daughters, Angie Jones and her husband, Steve, of Grand Prairie, Texas, Kathy Stoll and her husband, Tracy, of Parsons and Rhonda Ghering and her husband, Clifford, of Parsons; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, David Nading of Lawton, Okla., and Doug Nading of Independence.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Iona Jo Nading, on Dec. 7, 2009.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Altamont. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.
