TULSA — Earl Markham, 63, of Tulsa, a former Parsons resident, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at St. John’s Medical Center in Tulsa.

He was born on June 26, 1947, at Parsons to Augustus and Elizabeth (Parker) Markham. He grew up at Parsons and attended Parsons schools, graduating from Parsons High School. He later attended Parsons Junior College.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He worked as a welder at Oklahoma Steel Co. and Lee C. Moore Co. in Tulsa.

He married Mary Allean Thomas on Sept. 22, 1969, at Parsons. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mary E. Markham of St.Louis and Amber Markham and Brandee Markham, both of Tulsa; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Watson Memorial Church of God In Christ in Parsons. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Carson-Wall Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
