He was born on Oct. 24, 1932, in Concordia to Raymond Earl Lewis and Mabel Mae Moore. He attended Nelson Center grade school and graduated from Concordia High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He married Darlene Lapo on Feb. 1, 1953, at the Baptist Church in Concordia. She survives of Concordia.
He was a farmer.
Other survivors include three daughters, Kayleen Lewis of Concordia, Kelly Schulze of Parsons and Jennifer Odette of Concordia; a sister, Gloria Breault of Hastings, Neb.; three brothers, Glenn Lewis of Wichita, James Lewis of Manhattan and Robert Lewis of Tulsa; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Donita Lewis.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, Concordia. The body was cremated. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Mt. Joseph Senior Community or Meadowlark Hospice.
