RATON, N.M. — Carl Robert Evenson, 38, of Raton, N.M., died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.

He was born Jan. 31, 1972, in Chanute to Robert G. and Marjorie J. (Norris) Evenson. He attended Altoona schools and graduated from Humboldt High School. He worked for Panhandle Oilfield Services Co.

He married Linda Morgan in New Mexico. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Matthew, Kyler and Robert; and three sisters, Carolyn Baxter of Kansas City, Mo., Sharon Shoop of Cherryvale and Charlene Anderson of Humboldt.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Mound Valley. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, where friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to a fund for his children and can be left at the funeral home.
