RICHARDSON, Texas — Charles “Chick” Taylor, 76, of Richardson, Texas, formerly of Parsons, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, in Richardson.

He was born Oct. 19, 1933, in Bolivar, Mo. He graduated from Parsons High School in 1952. He attended La Quinta Christian College in Bartlesville, Okla., for one year and Pittsburg State Teachers College in Pittsburg for two years.

He served in the Navy.

Mr. Taylor worked for Texas Instruments in the Dallas area for 31 years, retiring in 1991.

He married Lois Ward on Aug. 19, 1960. She survives. They had one daughter, Jan.

Other survivors include two grandsons.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Messiah Lutheran Church in Plano. Burial will be in the Dallas/Fort Worth Cemetery in the afternoon. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to service time today.
