TOWSON, Md. — On Friday, August 20, 2010, Edward Herbert Rouch, age 96, of Towson, Md., passed away.

He was born in Parsons.

Edward served in the U.S. Army with the 170th Engineer Combat battalion in the Pacific Theater during World War II and was a recipient of two bronze stars. He enjoyed his volunteer service at G.B.M.C. by playing the piano with the Spiritual Support Service.

He was the beloved husband of Inez (Van Dyne) Rouch of 70 years; devoted father of Linda Chappell of Wichita, Larry Rouch of Seattle, Sally Barich of Washington, D.C., and Scott Rouch of Towson, Md.; dear brother of George Rouch and Norma McCaslin; loving grandfather of four and great grandfather of five.

There will be a private entombment with military honors. The family will receive friends at Epworth United Methodist Church from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edward’s name may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 600 Warren Road, Cockeysville, MD 21030. Peaceful Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Center, P.A. is in charge of arrangements.
