CHETOPA — Anita L. Jameson-Middlebrook, 54, of Chetopa died at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg. She had been in failing health.

She was born April 13, 1956, in Detroit to Harry and Ida (Armstrong) Jameson. She attended Chetopa schools and also Clark’s Business College.

She worked as a computer operator for the state of Kansas in Topeka and in Ohio before she was forced to retire because of ill health.

She married Anthony Middlebrook. He survives.

Other survivors include her mother, Ida Jameson of Chetopa; a son, Brandon Beard of Chetopa; a daughter, Marcia Cooper of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren; four brothers, William Armstrong of Wichita, Johnny Jameson of Joplin, Harry Jameson Jr. of Phoenix and Joe Jameson of Arizona; and three sisters, Juanita Armstrong of Chetopa, Antoinette Armstrong-Prosper of North Little Rock, Ark., and Pam Pettaway of Salem, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her father.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience from noon until 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
