AMARILLO, Texas — Carol Jeanette Rodriguez, 66, of Amarillo, Texas, died on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Amarillo.

She was born on Aug. 2, 1943, in Parsons to Howard and Lorraine Hart. She graduated from Parsons High School in 1961. She attended college in Wichita, where she became an LVN.

She married Elias Rodriguez on June 25, 1968, in Newkirk, Okla. He survives.

She worked at Winfield Mental Hospital for 10 years. She also worked as a beautician in Wichita for 15 years. In 1978, she was one of the founding members of the Amarillo Obedience Training School. She also volunteered at the VA Hospital.

Other survivors include two sons, Ronnie Rodriguez and Bobby Rodriguez and his wife, Jessica; two daughters, Julie Hill and her husband, Richard, and Cholie DeLeon and her husband, Rick; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Hart and Rita Cloak; and a brother, Larry Hart.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter, with the Rev. Jeff Raines, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.
