She was born Jan. 15, 1934, in Coffeyville to Leslie and Addie P. (Pierce) Rosson.
Mrs. Szelipajlo worked at Kansas Army Ammunition Plant for 28 years, retiring in 1995 to be caretaker for her mother.
Survivors include two sons, E. Michael Szelipajlo and Skip Shy, both of Coffeyville; two daughters, Jackie Waddle and her husband, Jim, of Lane and Debbie Smith of Coffeyville; four grandchildren, Lisa Cannady and her husband, Mike, of Olathe, Shane Shy and his wife, Rhonda, of South Coffeyville, Okla., Barry Morgan of Girard and Shawn Shy of Coffeyville; six great-grandchildren, Hank and Pierce Cannady of Olathe, Zach Shy, Shyanne Wisley, both of South Coffeyville, Okla., and Joeshia and Natosha Shy of Arkansas; two brothers, Buddy Rosson and his wife, Ida, and Cleo Rosson and his wife, Bea, all of South Coffeyville, Okla.; and Steve Braschler of Coffeyville, whom she thought of as her son.
No service is planned.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
