ERIE — Clayton L. Wright, 54, of Erie died on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Labette Health.

He was born May 11, 1956, at Palmer, Alaska, to Lynn and Doris (Knoedler) Wright. Clayton lived in Fairbanks, Alaska, until 1963 when he moved to Erie. He graduated from Erie High School.

He was self-employed at Wright Concrete and DJ Auto shop for many years in rural Erie. He worked for Quest Cherokee Oil and Gas Co. since 2005 as a mechanic.

Mr. Wright was a member of the Excelsior House of Prayer in rural Erie. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and fishing.

Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Greve, Chelsey Wright, both of Springdale, Ark., and Tina Winkleman of Erie; a son, Nathan Wright; seven grandchildren; a brother, John Wright of Wasilla, Alaska; and four sisters, Rebecca Simmons of Chanute, Pamela Christmas of Bellingham, Alaska, Sharron Farrar of Eagle River, Alaska, and Mary Clabo of Palmer, Alaska.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Wright and Jerry Wright.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons.

A Celebration of Life will be at 5 p.m. Friday at the Pontious Family Farm 7305 U.S. 59, Erie. The family requests friends to ride motorcycles and bring fishing poles if desired. The service will be casual and all are invited to attend. For directions and information call (479) 283-8533.
