He was a longtime dentist in Conneaut, Ohio, from the 1940s to 1980, he then retired to Parsons, where he and his wife owned and operated Ceramics Unlimited for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, of Katy, Texas; three children, Sharon Wiegand of Katy, Texas, John Laurila of Denver and Don Laurila of Winchester, Mass.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
No service was held at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Schmidt Funeral Home in Katy, Texas, was in charge of arrangements.
